Thanks to everybody who tailed me yesterday. It seemed like we were headed for something special with the Texas Tech game, but Florida was too hot from the three in that second half. There’s no way to spin this.. The first half of the Elite Eight was not kind to me. The favorites won’t stop winning in this tournament. However, if you think that I am the worst bettor at this company, you are mistaken. Our founder, Tyler, is a huge hockey fan (more on that later) and tested out his picks using Grok’s AI feedback. Grok nearly short-circuited thinking about the units that this guy wanted to put in on his Anaheim Ducks. (He’s on Betz now and ready to accept your bets, Toronto fans)
For my other picks, Mike Trout… woof. The only game that put me in the win column came from those gritty Trojans without Juju Watkins. Something tells me today is going to be a good day of predictions for me.

- Tennessee vs Houston – Tennessee +2.5
Tennessee has impressed me as much as any team in the tournament so far. The game on Friday against Kentucky came with a lot of hype but Tennessee shut them down and really dominated the whole game. Houston is Houston though, and I do not see them losing the rebound battle by ten. All I can do is hope for another good game here and maybe, just maybe, the Final Four having a team outside the one line. - Michigan St. vs Auburn – Michigan St. +4.5
While the calendar is still in March, I am going to continue believing in Izzo. I expect that this will be a really close game throughout and for Michigan St. to play good enough defense in the second half to pull out a victory. There, I did it, I took the underdogs in both games again today. Nothing can go wrong. - Portland Timbers vs Houston Dynamo – Portland +120
Houston has been one of the worst teams in the MLS this season and I don’t expect that to change this week. Portland is coming off a strong 3-0 win over Colorado last win and generally has shown competence this season. I can’t say the same for their opponents this week. I expect Houston will continue to stay winless this season. - LA Clippers vs Cleveland Cavaliers – Clippers +7.5
While Cleveland is still on top of the standings in the East, they have not played their best in March are coming off another loss at Detroit on Friday. Meanwhile, the Clippers have won seven of their last eight and are suddenly out of the play-in game zone, and headed for a more meaningful playoff seed. I see this being a very competitive game and the Clips potentially even pulling this one out.
